Welcome to the Lyre Resource Center of
Nature's Song and the Rose Lyre Workshop.

We understand that many lyre players have a difficult time finding appropriate lyre music, especially for pentatonic and diatonic instruments. The Lyre Resource Center has been developed to help alleviate these problems and make learning the lyre an easy, pleasant experience.

Initially we will provide a basic introduction to playing a 7 string pentatonic lyre, such as the Hermes Lyre and the Apollo Pentatonic Lyre, with one hand, and provide music to play with these instruments as well.
- Each month we will provide 1 or 2 additional songs and continually refine playing instructions.
- With each song we post, we will provide a sound clip of the song so that the student or player can hear how the song sounds and play along if one wishes. This sound clip will be on the page along with the sheet music,
- and we provide a link to our online pentatonic tuner as well.
- In addition, each song is marked with suggested fingering so as to provide an entrée to the beginning lyre player. As one progresses you may find fingering patterns that are more suitable for your hands.
- Our next posting, in addition to adding songs, will also have the same songs with alternative fingerings for those using instruments such as the Apollo Pentatonic Lyre, and thereby are more usable for both hands. For example, some songs may be more comfortable to play with some of the notes being played by the left hand in addition to the right hand.

As we go along, we will add a collection of Diatonic Songs.
- At stage three, we will add music for chromatic lyres, such as the Rose Lyre.
- At each stage we will further flesh out the training modules to become a complete Lyre Method for beginners and intermediate players.
Although the music and training method are copyrighted by Thilmany Music Company you are free to print and/or download the music for personal use.
