Girl From Ipanema

Girl From Ipanema has always been a very visual song for me. Somehow the composer, Antonio Carlos Jobim, captured the musical imagery of the piece perfectly. I also have a strong affinity to the syncopation of Latin rhythm structures, they feel natural and right to me. I don't know if this means I've had previous lives in Latin cultures, have Latin in my blood, or, the Latin culture's music taps a deeper level of the innate feelings in all of us which allows many people to connect to the rhythms of the music - my guess is the latter. I hope you enjoy my treatment of this song.
